Online courses can be valuable, but the platform and the course format matter. A polished sales page does not guarantee that you will learn the skill. Before paying, compare the structure, instructor support, projects, and refund policy.
Look beyond the number of hours
A 40-hour course is not automatically better than a 6-hour course. The important question is whether the course teaches the exact outcome you need and includes enough practice to make the knowledge usable.
Projects and feedback
For practical skills, projects are essential. A course that includes assignments, examples, and feedback usually helps more than passive videos. If feedback is not included, check whether the course has a community, office hours, or clear solution walkthroughs.
